A historic day ahead:
The Democratic Convention will be occurring in Denver on Women’s Equality Day, August 26, 2008, the federal American holiday that celebrates the victory of the suffrage movement.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements of women by seeing the most successful female Presidential candidate in American history – Hillary Clinton – arrive in Denver as a leading contender for the Democratic nomination on Women’s Equality Day in 2008. That will be a historic day.
August 26 is Women’s Equality Day in the U.S. – established by Congress in 1971, commemorating the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, when women achieved the right to vote. The last time Democrats held their convention in Denver – 100 years ago, in 1908 - only men were legally allowed to vote.
Americans have fought for gender equality and will see it continue at the Democratic Convention in Denver, where the nation will watch the most successful female Presidential candidate in American history compete for the nomination of her party.
Times have changed. They are still changing.

I have heard on some other blogs that there are no more permits availible in Denver. So, we should pick another venue that is economically suppressed and an area that will draw LOTS of Hillary supporters. Say like Ohio maybe......

Someone should contact Gloria Steinem in Syracuse, NY. Thats where she lives. She headed the Feminist Movement of the 60s/70s. She could give great insight on planning and execution of our March. Hell, she's probably interested in attending.
Also, any attorneys out there that can aid in legal advice or helping to obtain permits, etc., PLEASE contact the creator of the website.

I'm in Denver too. I stay at home with my 2 year old...so anything that I can do in terms of research or computer related matters, I can definitely do. I intend to be at the convention no matter what, and can help out with whatever that needs to be done during those days. See y'all here in August!

the best way to insure that the media dos not blame hillary is to USE THE ANNIVERSARY OF WOMENS RIGHT TO VOTE AS THE CENTERPIECE OF THE MARCH AND EVERYHING SHOULD UNFOLD AROUND THE CELEBRATION OF THE RIGHT TO VOTE...THE KNOCK COULD BE 86 YRS AGO WE GOT THE RIGHT TO VOTE DO WE NEED ANOTHER 86 YRA BEFORE THEY COUNT...GOOD LUCK!
You people are sooo confused! Look, Hillary ran. She ran a great race, but she lost. It's the democratic process. She did not lose just because she was a woman. She lost because the American voters believed she was not the best candidate at this time. Don't be sore losers with a grudge! Keep working on women's and other's rights so we can continue to give American's great choices to choose from for Presidency's - whether female or male or gay or lesbian or black or white or religious or not! The one's to protest are the Median not Obama! When will this country grow up? Why can't we all just see each other's abilities?
Hillary did not lose the vote - she won the popular vote in case you missed it. My vote for or against Obama has nothing to do with his race. In case you forgot, his mother is white. So, he is actually bi-racial. That doesn't matter to me. What does matter are the people he has been hanging around for 20 years or so. The teachings of Rev. Wright bother me - talk about a racist. I also cannot go along with Howard Dean and his group. The nomination was fixed from the start. And, by the way, Bill Clinton was by far a better President than we have had in my life time. Good economy, no wars, a balanced federal budget, etc.
What is the latest news on the permit situation? Do we have someone with legal expertise on the issue?
